Standard web server logs (IP address, browser type, page requested) are kept temporarily by our hosting provider for security and abuse prevention. Beyond that, this site uses Google Analytics 4 (via Google Tag Manager), Google AdSense, and Google Search Console. These services may collect aggregated, non-identifying data such as pages viewed, approximate region, device and browser type, and referring site, plus, for advertising, a cookie identifier used to serve and measure ads. None of this is linked to anything you type into a calculator — calculator inputs never leave your browser.

Not a substitute for an official measurement. Cordwood Calculator is an independent reference, not a legal or professional authority on firewood measurement or sales. Unit conversions assume standard dimensions (a 4 ft by 8 ft face) and the cut lengths stated on each page; actual deliveries vary by seller and by how a load was stacked. Species heat values (BTU per cord) are averages drawn from published forestry and extension-service tables for wood seasoned to roughly 20 percent moisture. Nothing on this site replaces a reading from a certified scale, a calibrated moisture meter, or an inspection by your state's weights-and-measures or agriculture office.

Figures are approximate averages for wood seasoned to roughly 20 percent moisture — always confirm with your own state's office before relying on them in a dispute.
